WHAT DOES C.A.G. MEAN?
C.A.G is an acronym that stands for Cover All Grounds. The acronym was formed during wirting sessions that I held at the Ffrode Grene Public House. Norty came up with the lyric probably in reference to the song "Halfway Thugs" By Capone-N-Noreaga (Yo I used to hang around wid y'all, cover ground wid y'all, now I flip turn around and pull a pound on y'all) from The War Report album, which we are all fans of.
In 2003 I decided to rename our crew C.A.G. Faction after our original name, The Colony, was appropiated by a Hip Hop crew in London (coincidently of course). Cover All Grounds Is basically the work ethic that our crew was ready to acquire, whichever skill we choose to pick up have a 3 dimensional look at the craft and it's aspects, and master it to the best of our ability.
DREADMAN: ESOTERIC HYDROPONICS was the first album to be released by the C.A.G Faction, as well as the debut album from Dreadman (Now known as Big Cush). Standout songs Included the LDC diss record "Monkey See Monkey Do", the love song "Hold You Down" and the hard hitting anthem "Everglades" feat. K-One. The song "Bish Bash Bosh" was also featured on Fracture: A J.Bravo Fragment.
