Rhyming Licence: a J.Bravo Fragment is the second album of the Rhyming Licence Trilogy. The genesis of the project started out as a challenge given by Alamak to come up with a CD in FOUR WEEKS. The reason was that the challenge was set in July 2012, and the Leeds Carnival occurs every Bank Holiday in August. Alamak insisted that I have new music to promote by this time.

Half of the songs on the CD were written and recorded throughout the first six months of 2012, the rest were recorded in the production period. The hardest task aside from finding an artist to help with the fragment cover design, and finding a company to burn quality CD's in one week, was to come up with a theme for the CD that would be simple to execute in a short space of time. I had recorded the title song in March 2012 and the idea of using the drivers licence plate as a concept felt like the most effective image. i intend on using the "R-Plate" throughout the rest of my career.

The music on this project is predominantly Jazz and Blues influenced, akin to the Hip Hop Groups of the early 90's ie. Gangstarr, Pete Rock and CL Smooth and A Tribe Called Quest.
