AS A THANK YOU TO THE SUPPORTERS AND VIEWERS OF MY LATEST FREESTYLE (First Media TV "Heat Sessions" Season 4 Episode 3) Here is my 1ST instrumental compilation entitled BRUCE LEEDS BEATS.
One of my first raps I ever wrote contained the line "I don't make beats, I make atmospheres". This line pretty much defines my beat making style, highly influenced by soundscapes crafted by Hip Hop cultures finest producers such as Havoc of Mobb Deep (Hell On Earth), DJ Premier of Gangstarr (Moment Of Truth), DJ Hi Tek (Reflection Eternal), Eric Sermon (Redman's Muddy Waters) and countless others during my youth.
My beats are not crafted for Boom Bap lovers, Trappers, Grime Artists, Conscious Rappers or any one particular kind or breed or group of MC (or singer). My beats are designed for LYRICISTS. MC's that hear my music get enticed almost immediately to start freestyling, writing and recording concepts that reflect their true emotions.
The downside to this approach to beatmaking is because in this climate many artists are looking for producers to provide them with "Beats that sound like HITS" most of my beats have been turned down from final cuts in favour of the sound of the current trend.
Because of this, I have been more known for my songs and music videos than my productions, despite the fact that I produce most of my material myself.
Nonetheless, here is a collection of tracks to write record or simply listen to, Including the beat from Heat session three, an Instrumental that was featured on the FUBAR radio freestyle sessions and an instrumental version of Don't Hurt Yourself (Dizzy Dee's theme), the intro music for Northern boxer Danielle Naylor. Use at will, shout outs on recordings and/or credits would be appreciated as I hate producer tags on beats so these won't have any.
