Parts Unknown: Yorkshire Hip Hop Mixtape is a collaborative project that was organized by J. Bravo C.A.G, Undesirable The Autistic Rapper and David J. Ragnel.

In 2012 I was Approached By Un and Dave to compile a Mixtape that shed light to the North Sound of Hip Hop. I was already working on a compilation oF Leeds based Emcees, and most of the songs I selected for that project made it onto here. Un and Dave introduced me to songs from Asavior, Rural Roots, Crystal Lake and more, and with thorough debates and the unmatched skills of DJ Prolific we were able to put together something we felt represented Hip Hop through our eyes.

The mixtape took six months to create. A request was made to point out that a few or the artist have physical and mental disabilities. However, I decided (up until now) not to shed light to this detail, as Hiphoppas we do not tend to dwell on these details when releasing products. We strictly focus on the arts, crafts, talent and vibes.

The mixtape was originally released on Datpiff.com on July 6 2012. Due to sharp deadlines and a technical difficulty at the time of release, the mixtape suffered from lack of a final mix, and the songs were not arranged in the right order. After three years the mixtape is finally restored in the way it was intended to be heard.

This project is dedicated to those who have supported Yorkshire Hip Hop always. When someone tells you that Leeds has talent, take their phone, laptop, whatever digital device that you can download this tape on and scream out loud "I DONE KNOW DAT!!" We are Yorkshire Hip Hop. Our accent's are broard, our flows are complex, our lyrics are direct and our beats blow up sets. We are from PARTS UNKNOWN!!
